My pal cosmic and I took on a little whipper snapper college blogger last night. She wrote in her blog that she is perturbed with "elderly" (50-60) people in her college classes. Cosmic contacted me because she was actually solicited by an online feature writer for her opinion on the entry. Cosmic sent an excellent reply and then I took a shot too.Go HERE to read her post and the comments that follow. Click the back button to return.
I encourage any of you with any "energy" on this to reply to Ann Austria as well.
Moving on to more important things......
So I have become a total geek. I bought car shampoo and micro-fiber towels. I even have a spritzer of instant detailing spray for those impromptu polishing needs. I have a special gallon jug for mixing the shampoo with warm water. I was outside at 6:45 this morning washing my car.
I even cleaned the floor mats.
Oh Lord!
I learned from the best - the detailing team at the museum. One should NEVER NEVER NEVER use dishwashing liquid for car soap OR the foaming brush at a self-service car wash. I used to run my old car through the regular car wash with those brushy things whipping all over the place. Bad bad bad.
So I have been reborn. It's a whole new me prepared and willing to do this every two weeks. There was a fellow who used to live next door who detailed his car every Saturday. I find that quite common with the navy guys here in town. Their cars are always spiffy and extremely shiny. If their haircuts don't give them away, the perfect cars do.
Okay then - an entire entry about washing cars and mis-informed college students! Is this exciting or what?
