I mentioned mortuary adventures, and I have the pictures to prove it. My friend, Jean, and her husband have run the local mortuary for a long time. When I mentioned the clown shoes, SHE was the one who wanted to have them visit the "business."
The shoes were all excited to see the caskets. The place was a veritable showroom! They thought they looked nice next to this one. I apologize for the fuzzy focus. We were making quick work in there.

Very nice contrast with the shoe colors, eh?
Then, we moved on to the vaults. Gotta have a vault. Here is a nice one.

Once again, fuzzy. But we had about 2 minutes for the entire excursion. Not too bad when that is factored into the equation.
But, I also made sure the shoes took time for spiritual contemplation. We visited the grotto at St. Mary's church. I wanted them to experience what I did when I was their age. Thanks goodness the church upgraded the statues here. For years, Bernadette had no hands. This Bernadette is much nicer.

And here are the little dove statues that guard Bernadette and keep her safe. It adds a whole Disney feel to the experience.

And that was yesterday! Severe weather is predicted for today with tornadoes expected tonight. YAY!
Time to score some more dry cereal from the breakfast buffet.
