Farewell to one of the best.
He truly understood the absurdity of so many things. I can definitely relate to his sense of humor.
The crows that have badgered me for months seem to have disappeared! I am no longer awakened each morning by my beady-eyed attackers. I have no idea where they went, but once they managed to pull the screen completely off my patio door, they split. I must admit that I am NOT going to miss them.
This just in. Weird news here in San Diego. A 71 year old man went over to his girlfriend's mother's house last night and started her garage on fire. Then, he went over to his girlfriend's house and started her garage on fire. Then, he shot himself in the head with a nail gun. Nobody is sure of his motives, but I guess he really felt the need to hammer home his point. Sorry. That was awful...but it really did lend itself to a smart-ass remark, eh?
The packing is going well. One half of the garage is give-away and the other half is take-along. Slowly but surely wins this race. This is my last Monday in this house. I have lived here since September of 1997. Lots of memories here. But it's time to say goodbye. Change is good. I seriously think the new digs will inspire better writing because the house is so much more comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. I will miss the funkiness of this neighborhood and all the cool little stores, but for some reason, this move feels like the right thing.
