Steve McQueen' son, Chad, was at the event yesterday. One look and it was apparent who he was. He really looks a lot like his dad.Chad was in a really bad crash two years ago that almost killed him. He shattered a lot of bones - including his leg. He still walks with a cane and might not make a full recovery. I didn't want to be invasive when I took my pictures.

The left one was all messed up. You could see the plates and pins through his skin.
The clown shoes got into the act too - posing with a truck Steve McQueen donated to Boys Republic many years ago.
Some lady told me she was hitch-hiking many years ago and Steve McQueen pulled up in that truck and gave her a ride. Not sure if that was really true, but it was a fun story.
And let's not forget the new Kitt, the talking car in NBC's remake of "Knight Rider."
