Oh......my.....GOD!Highlights of the day include:
Cable guy saying, "I can't get a signal in the attic. I am going to have to rewire the entire house."
Cable guy saying, "I can't drill a hole in the wall without written permission from the landlord."
Cleaning the bird spit off the patio doors of my old bedroom whilst the crows circled and threatened me with imminent death swooping. Those fookers have been so intent on killing me these past few months that they actually SCRATCHED the glass!
Shopping for toilet paper and bottled water when I was hungry and then spending forty dollars on salsa, chips, sour cream, and some horrendous watermelon juice shitola that looked so good on the shelf. And five Snickers bars because the deal was buy two get THREE free. How could I resist? Oh....and Cocoa Krispies for the morning. And milk.
Looking at cocoabean with a new-found sense of awe and respect when she suggested that we toss my old bed frame right off the patio instead of struggling to carry it down the stairs. It fell about 30 feet and crashed onto some bricks. Good show! Who needs a watermelon?
Making "gloves" out of plastic grocery bags to cover our hands when we moved some awfully skanky pieces of cheap cardboard to the same place we took the bed frame.
Having issues with my shorts (what IS it with me and rebellious clothing that chooses to fall off at the weirdest times?). I complained about them all day and sure enough - they fell right off in the new kitchen while we were stocking the freezer.
Air tub! Air tub! Air tub!
But the coolest thing in the last few days is the new Slurpee straw Roomie got me yesterday (and a Slurpee). The straw is made of metal, so the icy treat is SOOOO cold it destroys certain integral parts of your brain. It is WONDERFUL! I use it for everything. I poured cold coffee over ice this morning and used the straw. Better than Starbucks! But then again, that isn't saying a whole lot.
Oh....and the new fridge dispenses cold filtered water and ice cubes or crushed ice. Perfect for metal straws.
