It's the deepest part of the night and I am padding around here getting ready to leave the house. A co-worker and I are taking Steve McQueen's motorcycle to an event in Chino Hills. Steve was raised in a facility for troubled youth, and they are having Steve McQueen day today. There will be a display of his cars and bikes. His wife donated a lot of his stuff to the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles a few years ago. A guy from Phoenix bought Steve's 1920 Indian board track racer for $150,000 - and that is what we are taking today. It's been on display at our museum for several months, and the guy gave us permission to take it off the floor.

About half of that $150,000 value is for the actual bike, and the other half is for the fact that it used to belong to Steve McQueen.
Another interesting 12-hour day.
